All planned Professional Career Building Workshops for Creatives have been postponed for the duration. We will be making a decision soon as to if we will attempt to reschedule them this summer or present online this spring, or some combination of the two. One of the primary features/goals of the career building workshops for creative professionals was the social hour / networking aspect, so hopefully we will all have time in our schedules this summer once we are given the all-clear message related to the Coronavirus to gather and grow.

| Arthouse Convergence, The | The Arthouse Convergence strives to reflect its core intention: to support community-based, mission-driven independent film and independent film exhibition arthouses in all its programs, seminars and conference.The idea of the Art House Convergence was born when a group of exhibitors were brought together at the Sundance Film Festival as part of the Sundance Institute’s Art House Project. For two years, this small group of exhibitors met at the Sundance Film Festival to discuss independent film and independent film exhibition. In 2008, the group expanded and hosted the first Art House Convergence conference in Salt Lake City, UT, with 25 attendees. Over the next several years, the conference attendance grew dramatically and it moved to the Zermatt & Homestead Resorts in Midway, UT. By 2018, the conference attendance reached 650, including several international art houses. The Art House Convergence, having grown into a year-round organization, relies on several staff members and a huge number of volunteers to coordinate and plan all the events and programs. The organization is based out of and staffed by its founding institution, the Michigan Theater Foundation in Ann Arbor, MI.
