The Third Coast Creative Alliance is an emerging membership driven organization representing professionals in a variety of creative disciplines in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan (see green area).

Our mission is to advocate for creative individuals, organizations and businesses, and those we serve in the Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan

The Third Coast Creative Alliance works diligently to demonstrate the inter-connectivity of the arts and creative industries and the impact we make on our economy and quality of life and place.

We believe in the power of people and have respect for individuals of all backgrounds, capabilities and opinions. We encourage an inclusive environment that promotes individual expression, creativity, innovation and achievement.

The Third Coast Creative Alliance is membership driven. We listen to you and provide information, resources, career advice, networks, and advocacy for the benefit of you our members and those who work in and value the arts and creative industries. Building and sustaining a viable and vibrant arts sector is not accomplished by want or magic. It takes commitment, public policy and the investment of resources supported by collaborations with community. We represent you.

Our home office is in Traverse City Michigan.

What is the Third Coast?

The Third Coast is the collective coast line of all five Great Lakes. Eight different states and Ontario Canada border Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Ontario, and Lake Superior. Combined, the Third Coast has 4530 miles of shoreline, which is longer than the United States East Coast and West Coast combined.
